Since the company was founded over 70 years ago, Tetra Pak’s packaging has continued to evolve. However, paperboard has always remained the primary material for producing carton packages. We use just the right amount of paperboard to make the package sturdy, without adding unnecessary weight. Paperboard is made from wood fiber—a renewable resource that can regrow if managed responsibly.

On average, more than 70% of a Tetra Pak package’s weight comes from paperboard. Although Tetra Pak does not own or manage forests, we promote sustainable forest management through responsible sourcing.
